As a Senior Risk Engineer within Zurich Resilience Solutions, you’ll help customers better understand and manage complex risks across motor fleets, mining, heavy transport and mobile plant operations. You’ll provide specialist advice that supports sound underwriting decisions, stronger customer outcomes and the continued growth of our risk engineering services.
With a focus on Queensland and Western Australia, you’ll combine technical expertise with practical insight to help protect people, operations and critical assets. You’ll also contribute to developing our internal capability and strengthening trusted relationships with customers, brokers and colleagues.
You will also be responsible for the following:
• Conduct risk assessments across motor fleet, heavy transport, mining and mobile plant operations, producing clear technical reports and recommendations.
• Provide specialist insights to support underwriting risk selection, pricing and portfolio management decisions.
• Lead motor fleet risk engineering activities across key growth portfolios in Queensland and Western Australia.
• Deliver risk engineering services for customers while contributing to business development, utilisation and revenue objectives.
• Manage designated customer accounts and build trusted relationships with customers, brokers and internal stakeholders.
• Mentor and support other Risk Engineers while contributing to technical working groups and sustainable in-house capability.

In order to be successful, you will have the following:
- Senior industry experience in risk engineering, risk management, loss evaluation, hazard analysis or a related insurance discipline.
- Demonstrated expertise in motor fleet operations, mining, heavy transport, mobile plant or machinery risk management.
- Advanced capability in risk assessment, hazard analysis, technical reporting and the development of practical risk recommendations.
- Experience providing technical advice that supports insurance underwriting, pricing, risk selection or portfolio management.
- Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trusted customer and broker relationships.
- Commercial acumen, coaching capability and flexibility to undertake domestic and occasional overseas travel.
